Work Story
Painted in reverse so the final surface keeps light at the front of the experience.
Every detail has to be committed before the broader field behind it exists. That reversal is why the work reads more like a luminous object than a flat painted surface.
Moonlight Jester was painted as a small theatrical scene: comic, watchful, and slightly mysterious. The figure peers outward while the moon and lettering act as a frame. Because the composition is so graphic, it reads clearly from across a room and then rewards closer looking through its layered color edges.
Placement
If you are deciding between rooms or wall tones, the studio can help narrow the strongest fit before purchase.

Availability

Created with reverse enamel painting on glass, beginning with the facial features and lettering before building the moon, costume, and dark field behind them. Fine linework keeps the composition crisp when the piece is illuminated.
Looks strongest near evening lamps or directional wall lighting. Backlighting is not required, but a focused warm light will intensify the moon and costume palette.
Use a dry lint-free cloth on the front glass only. Avoid direct spray cleaners and handle the frame upright during transport.
Ships fully insured in a reinforced art box or crate depending on final framing. Delivery timing is typically one week within the US.
Signed certificate of authenticity included, with a matching studio inventory record for the work.

If this feels close but not exact, a bespoke commission can extend the same palette, ornament, or light behavior into a different scale or room.
