Blue-hour studio interior with luminous reverse glass work and architectural atmosphere

Commission

Made for the room, the light, and the person living with it.

Every commission begins with your space and how you want it to feel. The goal is not a generic custom order, but a work that belongs to the architecture around it.

Timeline

Most commissions run 6 to 12 weeks once concept direction is approved.

Deposit

50% to begin, with the remainder due on completion before delivery.

Reach

Works ship worldwide and can also be developed for installation-led interiors.

Process

A commission unfolds in a few deliberate stages, not a rush of approvals.

Reverse glass painting rewards planning and commitment. The process stays collaborative, but the work itself needs room for concentration once the direction is clear.

01

Inquiry

Share your space, references, desired scale, and the atmosphere you want the finished work to create.

The conversation turns into sketches, palette direction, and a clearer understanding of how the piece should sit in the room.

03

You receive a tailored quote covering dimensions, materials, lead time, framing direction, and payment structure.

04

Creation

The work is painted by hand in reverse on glass, with progress shared at key stages rather than constant interruption.

05

Delivery

The finished piece is packed, insured, and delivered with signed documentation and installation guidance.

Before We Begin

A few specifics make the inquiry more useful from the start.

If you have them, include a room photo, rough wall measurements, your preferred palette, and whether the piece should feel quiet, ceremonial, graphic, or luminous after dark.

Space

Where the work will hang, how much wall area is available, and what kind of natural or artificial light reaches the room.

Scale

Even an approximate size range is enough to shape the concept and keep the proposal realistic.

Direction

References, materials, memories, or existing works that capture the feeling you want the piece to hold.

Timing

Any installation date, event, or seasonal deadline the work should answer to.

Typical Investment

Smaller works begin around $1,500 and increase with scale, gold leaf, complexity, and framing needs.

Questions

Common questions before a piece begins.

Most commissions take 6 to 12 weeks from concept approval to delivery, depending on size and complexity. Larger pieces or those with extensive gold leaf work may require additional time. I will provide a specific timeline in your quote.

Commission prices start at approximately $1,500 for smaller works and increase with size, complexity, and materials. Gold and palladium leaf, kiln-firing schedules, and custom framing all factor into the final quote. I work within your stated budget range to find the strongest approach.

Yes. Progress is shared at key stages and feedback is welcome. Minor adjustments to color balance or composition are included. Significant changes to the concept after painting has begun may require additional time and cost, which will be discussed transparently before proceeding.

That is completely normal and part of why the concept phase exists. Many collectors begin with a mood, a palette, or a memory rather than a fixed image. The studio can help shape those references into a clear direction.

Yes. All commissioned pieces are professionally crated and shipped fully insured. Continental US shipping is complimentary for commissions over $3,000. International shipping is quoted individually based on destination and piece dimensions.

Commissions require a 50% deposit to begin, with the remaining 50% due upon completion and before shipping. For commissions over $5,000, a three-payment schedule is available: 40% deposit, 30% at midpoint, and 30% upon completion. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Policies

What to expect once the project is underway.

Deposits & Payments

A 50% deposit begins the work. Deposits become non-refundable once the concept phase is approved and painting has started because the process is custom and irreversible.

Communication

Updates are shared at deliberate checkpoints with images and timing notes, so you stay informed without disrupting the pace of the work.

Revisions

Up to three rounds of sketch and color revisions are included before painting begins. Larger directional changes after approval are scoped separately.

Shipping & Care

Completed works are professionally packed, fully insured, and accompanied by care guidance, installation notes, and signed documentation.
